Research

Part of Applied Pavement Technology's ability to remain at the forefront of new technology and to provide engineering solutions that improve pavement performance stems from our research activities.

Applied Pavement Technology engineers are renowned for their leadership in prominent applied pavement research programs. Our nationally recognized team members have conducted pavement design and performance studies for organizations such as the Federal Highway Administration, and the National Cooperative Highway Research Program. One current project for the Innovative Pavement Research Foundation (IPRF) focuses on materials-related distress and projected pavement life for airport pavements. The firm has played an instrumental role in both large-scale, national pavement research projects as well as small studies for states and municipalities, and private organizations.

Applied Pavement Technology's practical research results have been implemented by agencies across the country and around the world, providing transportation engineers with the information and tools necessary to design, build, and maintain better-performing pavements.
