Specification Review |

Applied Pavement Technology performs reviews of materials and construction specifications to ensure best practice in the areas of pavement preservation, pavement construction, materials production, and mix selection/design. Specifications for pavement work are often prepared by owner personnel or provided by the contractors performing the work. Too often, these specifications fail to adequately protect the owner. Either they are written to provide an advantage to someone other than the owner, or they do not represent best practice in materials or methods. The result could be a project that does not provide its design life or does not provide the full performance expected or purchased by the owner.
Applied Pavement Technology engineers work with project owners and engineers to develop new specifications or review existing specifications so that the end result is more likely to be a quality product. Comprehensive, quality specifications will also help project owners protect their investment and be in a defensible position if a dispute arises. Finally, specification review also helps clients develop a good relationship with their contractors and avoid delays.
Some of Applied Pavement Technology's repeat clients include Homeowner's Associations, corporations, and State Departments of Transportation.
