Brad at the Mendenhall Glacier

Asset Management Program Manager

Growing up in rural Maine, Brad developed an appreciation for the outdoors as well as for the infrastructure that helps connect people to their environment and each other. This combination of interests, as well as a desire to solve problems, led him to study civil engineering and to his first job at the New York State Department of Transportation. Over his 21 years with the agency, Brad worked in a variety of roles in materials engineering, maintenance, and capital programming. Along the way, he discovered the field of asset management, and how it ties these disciplines together in a performance-centered framework that optimizes how public infrastructure owners invest their limited resources.

Brad joined APTech in 2016 to expand the firm’s asset management program. Since then, he has led dozens of projects for national, state, regional, and local clients. He has also led research projects to expand and better document the field of asset management and worked with infrastructure owners to implement improved processes and tools. Brad currently serves as APTech’s Asset Management Program Manager. In this role, he enjoys helping clients cut through bureaucratic and technological barriers to make better investment decisions and improve outcomes.

In his spare time, Brad enjoys traveling with his family and volunteering for local youth sports organizations. It’s still all about connecting to new people and different places.
