Prashant Ram, P.E.
Applied Research and Deployment Program Manager
As someone who grew up interested in physics and chemistry, Prashant’s love of engineering came naturally. It may have also helped growing up the son of an engineer. As he puts it, “you could say it’s genetics.”
Prashant has an engineering career that spans nearly two decades, with an extensive background in pavement research topics, such as materials, evaluation methods, and sustainability, with an emphasis on sustainability and resilience. His work has helped clients incorporate sustainable practices into all stages of the pavement life cycle. Through his work as APTech’s Applied Research and Deployment Manager, he explores a variety of research topics like the use of greener pavement materials, the effects of climatic effects on pavements, and infrastructure disaster recovery planning.
In his free time, Prashant loves cooking, spending time with family, being outside biking, playing cricket, and going to concerts. A major goal for Prashant when moving to the U.S. was to see as many rock concerts as possible, and over the years has been to dozens of shows. And, being an engineer, he has naturally created a spreadsheet to remember them all.
