APTech gathers to honor founders and their legacy
Earlier this month, over 100 APTech employees and guests gathered at our flagship office for a special celebration. People from near and far gathered to celebrate the retirements of APTech’s founders: Katie Zimmerman, Maggie Covalt, and David Peshkin.
The evening brought together colleagues and clients alike for a memorable celebration filled with food, music, and lively conversation as we honored the individuals who laid the foundation for APTech. Throughout the event, attendees shared stories and memories of Katie, Maggie, and David that underscored not only their achievements in the industry, but also the culture of genuine friendship and enthusiasm for serving others that continue to guide APTech today.
Among the evening’s highlights were tributes to the founders from APTech’s current leadership, including President Monty Wade, State Aviation Program Director Kyle Potvin, and State and National Programs Director Kurt Smith. They shared professional, personal, and touching stories about the founders and their years working together. The celebration concluded with the announcement that several spaces in APTech’s headquarters were renamed in their honor, including the Zimmerman Executive Conference Room, the Maggie Covalt Landing Pad, and the David Peshkin Training Hub. We also unveiled a bronze plaque honoring our founders, now proudly displayed at headquarters.
APTech was built over 30 years ago on Katie, David, and Maggie’s vision of a workplace centered on professional excellence, commitment to our clients, and personal integrity. That ethos carries on today, even as APTech grows beyond what they dreamed possible.
Please join us as we congratulate Katie, Maggie, and David on truly remarkable careers.
